2011 Ladies Golf Classic Champions: Janet Duffy, Lynda Nathenson, Laurie Gavel & Susan DeSanto
The Ladies Golf Classic was held on a beautiful day at Richter Park in Danbury. The greens were in good condition and matched the high spirits of our 120 golfers, who were there on a mission - a mission to ensure that free cancer support remains available to cancer patients and their families at Ann's Place.
2011 Planning Committee members pulled together to raise operating funds for this year. Co-chairs Janet Duffy and Marica Izzo, along with members Martha Blanchette, Pat Curran, Susan DeSanto, Kathy Durgy, Jackie Morrison, Katherine Mygan, Peggy Nye, Diane Washer, Beth Yanity and Lori Zezza created a memorable day on the links for the attendees.
Thank you to the 2011 Classic major sponsors: Laurie & Frank Gavel, Union Savings Bank, Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Cartus Corp., Fairfield County Bank, Helen & Donald LaJoie, Armored Auto Group, Chuck & Roma Landry and Lacey Manufacturing Co.
This is an important piece of our funding for daily operations at Ann's Place. The golfers who attend each year are great advocates for our cancer survivors. It is also one of the premier charity golf tournaments for women in Connecticut and draws goflers from across Connecticut, Westchester County and even from New York City.
Scores of additional patrons supported the 2011 tournament with tee signs, program ads, raffle, auction and registration prizes. Thanks to each of you and also to our in-kind, service and material donors for your generosity!

We are actively seeking new Planning Committee Members to help grow the tournament this year. Please consider joining us or sending a member of your marketing or HR staff to serve on our committee for a fun and rewarding way to get involved with your community! |
