These programs are available for people living with cancer and for their family members. There is no charge for these programs, but donations are gratefully accepted to help defray our operating expenses. Art & Journaling Therapy - "Imagine That: Finding Pathways to Expression" uses creative media to promote relaxation and self-expression through the combination of art processes and journaling.
Reiki – A stress reduction and relaxation technique based on balancing the energy in the body. Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment with Paula LeFebvre, MS. Monday afternoons by appointment with Liz Sortino.
Tai-Chi' - Chinese martial art focusing the mind solely on the movements of the form believed to help bring about a state of mental calm and clarity. Monday evenings with Nancy Ryan.
Healthy Steps (formerly Lebed) – This program is a therapeutic movement and dance exercise program for women who are living with cancer. Thursday evenings with Alison DiPinto, LPC.
Counseling - Clinical staff provide short-term counseling to adults and children related to diagnosis of, treatment for and recovery from cancer.
YOGA - Four different instructors offer day and evening classes.
Hatha Yoga – Learn the basics of Yoga, deep breathing and concentration. Tuesday evenings at 5:45 with Joe Gillotti.
Kripalu Yoga - Marc Howard instructs from 12:30 to 1:30 on Tuesday afternoons. Rochelle Schwartz instructs on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Vinyasa Yoga - Didera Americo instructs from 12:00 to 1:00 on Wednesday afternoons.
Please call for availability of spots for each instructor and to confirm a class is being held on a particular date, as there are sometimes weather-related cancellations or a waiting list.
