Celebrating Our Priceless Volunteers!

It constantly amazes me that, on a weekly basis, emails arrive in my Inbox from volunteers who want to offer their time and services to Ann's Place, The Home of I CAN. Whether they have personally experienced cancer in their lives, in the lives of family, friends or loved ones or possibly are fortunate enough to never have experienced the profound impact of cancer, they have felt the need to give of their time so as to ease the concern that a cancer diagnosis brings.

Why should this amaze me? The human condition is such that what touches one person's life often ripples through a community and touches all of us. We ache for those going into or through treatment and pray that the results are positive and the prognosis is for a long and productive rest of life. Sometimes our prayers are answered and sometimes they are not. Ann's Place is here to ease that cancer journey, and our many volunteers help provide the links in the long chain of healing. We are honored to host to such a wonderful and varied group of people willing to give their time to benefit others.

Please continue to fill my Inbox with your offers of service. Whether it be onsite volunteering, committee activities, fund raising event participation, wellness activity, or third party fund raising - once a year or once a week - everything adds up to a fabulous group of caring individuals willing to share in the mission of Ann's Place.

As we enter our second season in our new home, we honor and THANK all those who bring us, each day, further along this journey of love and compassion.
