Welcoming Don Weber to the Board of Ann's Place

Donald Weber is a retired financial professional living in Ridgefield, CT.  After earning his B.A. and M.B.A from Rutgers College and Rutgers Graduate School of Business respectively, Donald embarked on a long career which included ten years experience with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers and 26 years with the Xerox Corporation in a finance function.  At Xerox his positions included Assistant Corporate Controller and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Developing Markets Operations, a $2 Billion revenue international operating group, responsibilities included finance, business strategy, manufacturing, supply chain and market access strategy. Since retirement Donald has been active in his community.  He has served in a volunteer capacity at several area organizations as well as a Treasurer and Board Member at the Untied Jewish Center, a Finance Committee member for the Temple B’nai Chaim.

Ann's Place Reaches Out to Ridgefield

At a meeting of the Ridgefield Men’s Club on September 3, Kevin Berrill, LCSW (center) and Jim Coffey MA (left) of Ann’s Place hold a certificate of appreciation from the Club’s program director, Douglas Coombs. Before a group of approximately 75 club members, Kevin discussed the impact of cancer on survivors, their loved ones, and the wider community. He also described the various programs and services that Ann’s Place offers to clients. Jim, who facilitates the Men Together support group at Ann’s Place, described the challenges faced by men with prostate cancer and ways in which members of his group provide mutual support. Forty-five men belong to Jim’s group, making it the largest support group at Ann’s Place. Following the presentation, Jim and Kevin answered questions from the audience about cancer and the work of Ann’s Place. (Photo: Chuck Rich)
