Shannon Cobb, President and CEO
Shannon Cobb, a Danbury resident since 2001, came to Ann’s Place in 2016 serving as the President and CEO. She is a strategic, goal driven, communications and program professional with more than 30 years of experience in nonprofit agencies across the country including United Way, Volunteer New York, Volunteer Maryland, CASA, Lutheran Social Services and more. Having started her career in volunteer management, she continues to value and build diverse volunteer and community involvement wherever she works and at all leadership levels. Through the years, she has recruited, trained and supervised thousands of volunteers to help increase socialization skills for people with disabilities, assist low income seniors live independently at home, advocate for youth in foster care, bring comfort to those living with cancer and enhance the management of nonprofits.
When Shannon is not at work, she can be found at the United Methodist Church of Danbury, where her husband, Reverend J. Michael Cobb, is pastor. She is a Lay Servant in the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and speaks occasionally from the pulpit. Ms. Cobb has a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College, and is a graduate of the Parent Leadership Training Institute in Danbury. She loves spending time with her two adult boys and college sweetheart (husband of many years), taking photos while exploring a new trail, and losing herself in a good puzzle.
